Overview

The Network Administrator keeps the organization’s enterprise infrastructure running smoothly, which includes networking, telecom, and endpoints across every location while layering in AI-driven analytics and hardened security to boost uptime and protect PHI. Partnering with IS leadership, the role shapes hardware/software standards, architects zero-trust defenses, and guides vendor integrations, compliance efforts, and quality-improvement initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll triage Help Desk tickets, use AI diagnostics to squash threats fast, roll out updates, onboard users, and document crystal-clear workflows that empower staff and streamline audits. From virtual machines to IPT call centers, you’ll design, monitor, and optimize all connectivity, ensuring HIPAA-ready performance in a dynamic, patient-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver front-line technical support by prioritizing tickets, resolving desktop and application issues, and coordinating escalations with the IS Help Desk.  
  • Build, configure, Install, maintain and optimize enterprise IS infrastructure equipment which includes network hardware, servers, cellular devices, office hardware/software and peripheral equipment for maximum uptime and performance.  
  • Perform routine patches, upgrades, and backups to safeguard data integrity and system stability.  
  • Partner with IS leadership to plan and coordinate software development, production, risk management, compliance, and quality-improvement initiatives.  
  • Deploy, and monitor layered security controls—firewalls, access management, encryption, and cloud safeguards—to meet HIPAA and other regulatory mandates.  
  • Proactively search for vulnerabilities, respond to real-time cybersecurity threats, conduct audits, and deliver user training on security best practices.  
  • Implement, and administer telecommunications systems (IPT, call centers, LAN/WAN, wireless) fully integrated with EMR and telehealth platforms.  
  • Continuously monitor and fine-tune telecom and emergency communication infrastructures to ensure reliable, secure clinical connectivity.  
  • Document workflows to include AI, security, infrastructure and processes to empower stakeholders with clear, consistent, and actionable guidance.
  • Members of the IS Team rotate on-call duties to provide continuous 24/7 support.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s in CS/IT preferred (Bachelor’s a plus) and 2–5 years enterprise networking or equivalent work experience. 

  • 3+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks and telecom infrastructure.  

  • You will be required to take a networking test as part of the job interview to evaluate your technical knowledge.

  • Strong command of L2/L3 protocols, VoIP, and hardware/software troubleshooting across AI-integrated environments.  

  • Skilled in identifying vulnerabilities, deploying firewalls/IDS, and upholding HIPAA-class data privacy.

  • Experience with Active Directory, cloud networking (Azure), automation scripts (PowerShell), and AI monitoring or analytics tools.  

  • Adept at workflow documentation, user training, and coordinated software patching to maintain uptime and compliance.  

  • Excellent cross-functional communication for vendor management, project coordination, and rapid incident resolution.  

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities effectively; develop and execute short-term plans and prioritize conflicting demands.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills as well as interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively interact with users, technical staff, vendors and management.

  • Ability to physically move electronic equipment including PCs, Monitors and printers.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
