• Performs each test as ordered by the physician in a manner prescribed by the procedure in the approved laboratory manual
• Monitors test results and notifies appropriate personnel if any patient results fall outside of the limits set for that test
• Assists the Laboratory Department Supervisor in checking file copies of the test results done on all shifts
• Interacts in a professional and courteous manner with other laboratory personnel and internal and external laboratory customers

• Prefer certification (or eligibility for certification) by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Medical Technologist (MT ASCP)
• Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university including courses in biological science, chemistry and mathematics and successful completion of a CLIA accredited Medical Technology program OR
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university AND five years experience under the supervision of a pathologist certified by the American Board of Pathology
